Garden Plants
 
    We stock a comprehensive range of plants for all sizes of garden, to suit all budgets. All our plants
    are container-grown so they can be planted at any time of the year, providing the ground conditions
    are suitable at the time of planting.
 
    We try to source all our plants from British growers, although we purchase all our Box plants from
    a supplier in Holland who is highly specialised in this field of horticulture. Scottish growers are used
    whenever possible. We also offer a plant-sourcing service, where we can try to obtain plants that
    are not stock items.

Roses. We are major stockists of David Austin
roses from March to September each year.
The David Austin range includes old-fashioned
climbers, ramblers and traditional scented
roses.  They are world famous for their beauty
and reliability.		    
     
We also stock floribundas, hybrid teas and gift
roses for special occasions all year round,
although the roses look their best from April to
August.

Trees. we are proud to have
one of the biggest selection of
ornamental trees in the area,
with fresh deliveries arriving
regularly all year round.  Best
sellers include Rowan,
Ornamental Hawthorn,
Flowering Cherries and the
beautiful Amelanchier.  We can
also order in trees to specific
customer requirements.

Heathers and Alpines are all Scottish grown,
with our Alpines being grown near Bonchester
Bridge in the Scottish Borders - an area renowned
for its harsh weather!  Alpines are available from
March to October and heathers are available all
year round.

Rhododendrons and Azaleas do
very well in this area, enjoying the
acidic soil found in many Northern
regions. These are available all year
round, with deliveries of fresh stock
arriving every month.

Conifers are often underrated in the
ornamental garden but they make beautiful
plants with year round interest in a variety of
foliage colours.  Our best range is available
from September, through the winter to April.

Bedding Plants are available for much of the year.  The
season starts in March with pansies, violas, primulas and
polyanthus.  Our summer range is always available by May
- sometimes earlier in mild years, and we probably stock
the biggest range in the area.  All the bedding is grown at
our partner nursery, just 5 minutes from the Garden Centre,
and is hardened-off before being made available for sale.		  
We are happy to take in customers' hanging baskets and
other containers to plant to order.  The autumn bedding
season starts in August with plants including wallflowers,
Sweet Williams and Myostis.  Special offers are usually
available on most bedding packs
