Floors Castle Garden Centre, Kelso, Scottish Borders: Compost and Garden Treatments

We stock a comprehensive selection of garden treatments from Bayer (formerly pbi) and Vitax including traditional essentials like Blood, Fish & Bone, and Vitax Q4. This year we have also introduced a selection of organic garden products from Growing Success for the increasing number of gardeners who have "green inclinations"!

We also sell more specialised products that can be hard to find at other garden centres. Products such as Green Sulphur, Hydrangea Colourant, Winter Wash and Seaweed Extract are stock items.

     Look out also for Rootgrow, which is a mycorrhizal fungi that can be applied at planting time to
     encourage root growth and speed up the establishment of all plants. This has been developed
     by David Austin Roses, but research has shown that it is not just roses that benefit from its
     application.

Grazers is a product which proves valuable to gardeners plagued by rabbits. Developed by a Kelso couple, the product can be
sprayed onto plants to protect, not just against rabbits, but also pigeons, hares, deer and pheasants.

For many years now we have stocked the Westland range of compost, which includes specialist compost for acid loving plants,
as well as John Innes Compost for all stages of propagation, Multi-Purpose Compost for general use, Farm Yard Manure for
soil improvement, and Bark Mulches. Westland also produce Pelleted Chicken Manure which we highly recommend for general
garden use, with particularly good results seen when fed to box plants.
